Approaches is the second group show that emerged from an artists’ initiative to create dialogues, promote exchanges and break the boundaries of the circulation of works.
In this second exhibition, seven artists resident and active in Belo Horizonte invite six artists resident in Rio de Janeiro.
The group of artists has in common that painting is one of their working languages. Although the exhibition does not have a defined thematic axis, it is possible to see mirrors in the artists’ procedures and in the subjects covered.
The current exhibition aims to encourage a growing discussion on the issues of contemporary painting, being part of a series of future actions.
Participating artists: Alan Fontes, Carolina Martinez, Christiana Quady, Daniel Bilac, Daniel Lannes, Geraldo Marcolini, Leonora Weissmann, Manuel Carvalho, Rafael Alonso, Rafael Zavagli, René Machado, Tatiana Blass, Zalinda Cartaxo.
