On a day like any other today
Individual exhibition – Nazareno Rodrigues.
For this exhibition, the artist sought to dialogue with the notions that are understood by everyday life. In these works, aspects such as the construction of security, the notable dangers, the world of precision and appearance, the wishes for happiness, the loss of domains, the understanding of fear and its mutations, among other issues present or not in our routine in a way almost imperceptible will be presented by the artist.
To Nazareno, the prospect of exercising routine actions has provoked in the contemporary subject the desire to build another type of daily life, to understand whether this is in fact possible either through a reinvention of the individual himself, or from other possible violent or poetic outbursts, is the question that these works will ask the public.
The exhibition is composed in its entirety by unpublished works, where three-dimensional works of small and large size, made in different materials, such as marble, wood, metals, among others, will coexist with drawings, watercolors and texts made in different supports. Prepared with intense attention to detail, Nazareno’s works establish contact with the viewer as an invitation to a more careful, more attentive observation. These are works that reveal themselves little by little, such as the hours slowly unfolding into surprises throughout the day.
